Challenging Case of Internal Carotid Angioplasty

Here is a challenging case operated by Dr. Gaurav Verma, Cardiologist in Nasik, where patient was diabetic and hypertensive also who underwent coronary bypass surgery(cabg) 3 months back at SMBT Hospital.

Patient presented with cerebrovascular accident with right MRI showing 95% stenosis of left Internal Carotid Artery. Challenge was the anomalous origin of Internal Carotid Artery and also patient was morbid and weak due to post bypass status.

However Dr. Gaurav Verma successfully achieved normal flow and removed the block by putting a self-expanding stent. Patient was recovered 90% of her power in arms and legs.
